Saft Go Live with sofco Supply Planning at their first 2 sites, 9 months after selecting sofco to power their Planning Project.

Saft, a wholly owned subsidiary of Total, specialises in advanced technology battery solutions for industry. For 100 years, Saft's longer-lasting batteries and systems have provided critical safety applications, back-up power and propulsion for their customers. Saft is present across 19 Countries and 17 Production sites with 4,300 employees and 3,000+ customers worldwide.

Why sofco?

The purpose of the Project was to implement Finite Capacity Planning and ATP/CTP systems with a plan to roll out to 12 sites over a 5-year period. Saft chose sofco because of the capability and flexibility of the solution to support the business process and evolving requirements.

The Challenge

Saft were looking for a system to accurately plan and resource production and supply capabilities across differing market sectors with detailed operational plans at production resource level.

The Solution

Saft selected sofco Supply Planning with Available to Promise (ATP), Capable to Promise (CTP) and WIP Management. The system now handles over 29,000 active products, 187,000 Bills of Material Items and 138 separate manufacturing processes.
