Burton’s Biscuits go live with sofco Supply Planning

sofco, a leading provider of integrated and collaborative End-to-End Planning Solutions for the Consumer Goods, Manufacturing Retail sectors, are delighted to announce, that one of the UK’s best loved biscuit brands have gone live with sofco Supply Planning.

Burton’s Biscuits have been baking since the 1900’s. Today they supply the UK’s leading retailers with some of the UK’s most iconic biscuit brands, with over 2000 biscuit experts up and down the country they are proud to produce iconic brands such as the cheeky Jammie Dodger, the choc chip filled Maryland Cookie or the great big Wagon Wheel – Burton’s have a brand that will bring a smile to every face.

The ‘One Burtons’ solution allows Burton’s to closely control inventory levels and product life whilst maintaining efficient production run lengths and minimal changeover times. sofco Supply Planning give users the ability to create a realistic production plan via specific site and line algorithms, which can then be fine-tuned by each sites planning team as and when required. sofco Supply Planning brings together requirements by recipe (allergen) groups and formats, based on a pre-defined cycling pattern for each production line controlled by the users.
